Wells McDonald Architects is a London based practice founded by Luke McDonald.

The practice enjoys working at all scales and is interested in sensitive, modern architecture, situated and rooted in the existing condition we find ourselves working.

We strongly believe in the transformative capacity of architectural intervention regardless of scale, style, or budget. Above all else we believe good architecture is spatial, bringing clarity and order, which reveals the latent potential of the existing condition.

We are interested in working across different building uses and locations and have experience with residential and commercial projects. We enjoy working closely with clients to deliver calm, thoughtful spaces tailored to their brief.

Prior to establishing Wells McDonald Architects, Luke worked for award winning Lynch Architects. Over 15 years Luke worked on a range of projects, from large scale commercial projects for major commercial clients, to large scale local authority housing schemes, to smaller private domestic projects and house refurbishments. Luke studied Architecture at the University of Manchester from 2004-2010 and London Metropolitan University in 2012. Luke is an RIBA and ARB registered architect.
